Just got back from Mexico last year with my first Chevy Trax, a 2015 model. Happy as a lark to be back home, I began my search for a Texas license plate and driver's license. After my third visit to U.S. Customs in Brownsville, I found out I could not import my Mexican Chevy Trax. I walked away from that third visit to U.S. Customs with a very heavy load upon my shoulders. Two years of punctual payment to my bank in Mexico down the drain. But! In times of trouble, Mother Mary Comes To me. As I drove away towards the Harlingen and San Benito, Texas border, I decided to take a look at the new Chevy at Gillman Chevrolet in San Benito, Texas. Mauricio Delatorre, Gillman Chevrolet smooth as silk sales rep met me at the parking lot. The Gillman Chevrolet Accesories rep, Luis Adame was the cherry on the cake. Within two hours, I walked away with a 2017 Chevy Trax, that I had fallen in love with a few years earlier during my visit to South Florida, where I drove a Chevrolet Malibu from South Florida almost to the border with Georgia, a five and half hour drive. What had happened to the Malibu? My dad always had one; but the new Malibu I was driving to North Florida, drove as if I was on a cloud of comfort. I have the same feeling when I drive my 2017 Trax LS. I can only guess that it is a Malibu with a Trax chassis. Thank you Mauricio and Luis!! You took a huge weight off my back. You guys at Gillman Chevrolet service your customers with a smile; with no pressure sales pitch, nor high pressure paperwork.
