I really wish that I could give them more than 5 stars. While cleaning out my garage, I found my old Vectrex CRT Console game system (circa 1982). I plugged it in, hoping that it would power on so I could play some of my old school cartridge games. Much to my dismay, it wouldn't power on. I reached out to several computer/cell phone repair shops that also repaired video game systems. CPR was the only shop that was willing to diagnose it besides one other company (with terrible reviews and shall remain nameless). I checked the Yelp reviews, which were uniformly excellent, and brought it in for a diagnosis on Saturday morning. One notable detail worth mentioning. The store is immaculate. I've been to repair shops where there's broken hardware, wires and cables strewn everywhere. I was very impressed from the get go. I dealt mostly with Richard, who was professional, courteous and very personable. I received a call within the hour. Although it was something they never saw or worked on before (due to its age and rarity), they felt that it was repairable, and they were even a little excited about working on something so unique. I was elated. They called me a few hours later to pick it up. When it powered on and the game cartridge seemed to work, I paid little attention to details, so I paid and brought it home. When I tried it at home, I realized that the aspect ratio was off, distorting the game image drastically. I called Richard, who was as courteous and professional as always, and explained the problem. There are no user controls for aspect ratio so any adjustments would need to be made internally. I asked if I could bring the console back for them to further diagnose and attempt to fix the aspect ratio. They could have easily told me no, but instead, agreed to work on it some more, and today I brought home a fully functioning (with correct aspect ratio) Vectrex console. They really went above and beyond for me. If they can work this kind of magic with an archaic CRT based gaming console, I am confident that they can fix just about anything. They also offer a 90 day warranty on repairs, which is excellent. If I ever need Mac or Cell Phone repair, I know that I can count on them to go the extra mile for me. I happen to live in the area, but wouldn't think twice about driving a considerable distance for that level of expertise and customer service. Thanks a million!
