I booked an appointment for a full head of highlights. In time my goal was to become blonde / lighter. When my stylist was blow drying my hair it was hard to notice what a catastrophe my hair would turn out to be. After she completed my blow dry I took a look a thought it looked good. I made my payment and tipped her. When I got into my vehicle and looked in the mirror I cried. I noticed I had patches of orange white and brown. I didn’t even notice highlights; just the entire top park of my yard was bleach blonde. I came back in an asked the stylist if she can fix the patches. She blotted bleach on the patches and then used a spray bottle and hand tile to remove the bleach she blotted on my patches. My heart sank. My hair looked even worse! I was so upset I just said thank you and walked out. I got in my car And calked moxie back and I kindly asked the receptionist to please not say anything to the stylist because I was uncomfortable and if I could have the mangers number or be refunded due to how my hair turned out. What did the receptionist due.. put the stylist right on the phone!! The stylist asked my to come back so she can fix it?! I said no thank you I would like my money back. They stylist said okay and hung up. NO HELP AT ALL. As I’m sitting in my car hysterically crying because my hair was ruined I called different moxie salons for the corporate number and I was directed to an answering machine and was told to leave a message.
At this point I felt so defeated. When I got back in my car I noticed I still had bleach in my hair and it was burning my scalp. I have a little mark on my scalp from where the bleach burned me.I was so upset I just drove back to my house and when I got home some friends and family looked at my hair and was in total shock. My friends and family cannot believe the damage that was done to my hair. A family friend told me to call the store mediately and demand the managers number. I then called back the Moxie salon and was told that the manager was in route to the salon and did not know how long it would be until she came in. I asked the receptionist if she could just please give me her number so I can reach out to her immediately. I was finally able to get a hold of the manager. She asked me what service I asked for, and then apologize for the inconvenience and told me that I would be refunded in a couple days because it was Friday. I paid $258 for a full head of highlights and I tipped the Stylist $40. I was traumatized and did not want to go back to another salon and create more damage to my hair. I had to go to Harmons and buy box dye that cost me $45 and I my hair back to brown. I strongly suggest people do some research and really look at the reviews before booking an appointment anywhere in the near future.
