Moxie - Montvale

This was my first time visiting Moxie Blowdry & Beauty Bar in Montvale, NJ (or any blow out salon for that matter). I had a special weekend planned and wanted to splurge and have my hair professionally done. Someone recommended them, so I gave it a shot! A few days prior, I was in the area, so I walked in to schedule my appointment. The girl at the front desk made me feel as though I was interrupting something. This should have been my first sign, but I thought maybe she was having a bad day. When I arrived for my lunchtime blow out, I was pleasantly greeted and led to the back to have my hair washed. The girl who washed my hair was an absolute pleasure, she was friendly and professional and did a great job. My whole experience went downhill from there. I was then led to my blow dry stylist. The first thing she asked me was "I forget, how do you like your hair done?" I've never been there before, hence never having my hair done by her before. I thought, okay, she may have mistaken me for someone else. I told her I'd like my hair blown out straight and smooth without frizzies. Needless to say, when she finished, I looked in the mirror and all I saw was a head of frizz with hair standing straight up. I asked her to please do something about the ones standing straight up and she doused me in hair spray. As I walked away, she said "it was so nice to see you again." I felt like I was in the twilight zone...I've never seen her before in my life, nor will I ever again. I could not wait to get somewhere to fix it, but I had a two hour drive and did not have time to fix the mess. While driving away, all I could see in my rear view mirror was my frizzy hair sticking up. I really regret trying this place and wasting money. Worst blow out experience. Never ever again.
