Moxie Salon and Beauty Bar Westport, CT

First time experience at Moxie salon in Westport… unfortunately I will not be back. I came in for a blowout and left very unhappy with the styling. Atmosphere Of the salon is fine, very clean establishment, but the stylist doing my hair did one of the worst blowouts I’ve gotten at a salon. I requested a bouncy blowout with some body, pretty standard. My stylist did not use a heat protectant on my hair, which is very concerning to me. She only used a color wow volume spray for my roots and no other products. I have naturally course/wavy hair so not using any products besides the volume spray was a red flag to me. I left with my hair feeling dry, straw like and coated in hair spray. It truly felt so sticky and dry. Looked like I had walked right out of a toddlers and tiaras episode. My scalp felt sticky an the ends of my hair were not dried completely and started to curl up. Truly a weird experience, the stylist seemed proud of her work but I left feeling embarrassed and ready to go home and wash my hair.
