Let me start this off by saying we have sold a car to carite before and the experience was spectacular and easy, but unfortunately they closed that location down so we had to go to a new location and it left something to be desired. We obtained a quote via the website entering our vehicles information, and set up an appt. Based on our last experience we were willing to drive the nearly 2 hours instead of using another company who would have picked up the car, especially since all the quotes were extremely close. When we arrived for our appt no one knew why we were there. When the car was looked at we were told that the car was in great condition, and exactly how we had presented it online. Then we were told that the amount offered would be only 2/3 of what we were quoted for the car. Obviously we had expected a bit of a difference (last time for reference the difference offered 1% less), but to be offered thousands of dollars less was insulting at best. When we asked why there was a huge difference we were told it was because we entered the license plate number instead of the VIN
