I accompanied my daughter 11 days ago to get her screen replaced on 7plus. We went to Xavier at CPR based on the review at yelp. He replaced the screen for 120 and we declined the warranty since that didn't protect against future cracks or damages. He ensured us that all the functions of the phone and screen were restored. We didn't realize the ear piece / audio on the phone was left detached or damaged since my daughter hardly ever calls anyone directly other than via texting, or headphones or speaker, all of which worked fine. We had no further incidence with the phone after the repair.
We walked into the store today promptly as they opened. Xavier outright refused to help us unless we paid him 70$ to get the part replaced. He said Dominique is thorough in his repair and would have checked the phone before releasing it. Since we had declined insurance, the ownness was upon us to have realized the defect. He refused to address my 18 yr old (and in fact said is she an adult or teenager, you decide), instead kept imparting the blame on me. When I told him his customer oriented treatment would earn him poor stars, he became all defensive and on the edge, and retaliated saying he would never respond to threats and he would never fix it without payment. And that the store had plenty of good reviews on Yelp and one poor review would not make a difference. We even checked our phone bill to see if they made a voice call to check the phones function on the day of the initial repair. I asked for his supervisors name and number which he refused, I asked for corporate contact which he refused to provide. I asked him to contact his boss/ owner of the store. The owner gave Xavier instructions to get the ear piece replaced to avoid bad press. Xavier said not to leave a bad review since he did assist us.

So to summarize, if you go to the store for repair, be sure to check all parts are working before leaving the premise. As you can tell from my incident, everyone is error prone, even the folks who make repairs. Do not expect any curtesy if you return back with faulty work. Xavier comes across very pleasant until he collects your credit card. I am grateful the owners cared about customer service and checked, repaired, replaced, who knows what needed to be done, but they did deliver.
