Very disappointing experience. I was told that Lee Toyota will not service a Toyota over 20 years old unless it has prior service history with their dealership. This isn’t a case of asking them to work on a non-Toyota—I was requesting service on a Toyota that I’ve owned since new and taken excellent care of. I prefer to have dealer service if possible for work I’m not able or willing to do myself. I understand that some repairs on older vehicles can be challenging, but I was requesting a very straightforward job—valve cover gaskets. It’s frustrating to hear a dealership pride itself on selling vehicles built to last, yet refuse to support them once they do. I contacted Berlin City Toyota instead and they had no such policy. In my experience, dealers are usually happy to see a well-maintained older vehicle because it reflects the quality of the product. Unfortunately, while Lee Toyota is the closest dealer to me, when the time comes to buy my next Tacoma (which I absolutely will, given how great this one has been), I’ll be purchasing it elsewhere. Update: response from owner claims that it’s 22 years of age when they refuse service. Not what I was told, my truck is late year 05 and last I checked it’s not 2027 yet (you all ran my vin fyi so you knew the age) Also owner claims that they don’t service older vehicles because other shops may have not done things right which they have to fix. That could be the case of any age car that had ever been repaired anywhere but your place. What a nonsense answer!!!! obviously they aren’t responsible for that and I’m quite sure they haven’t been running a charity case operation over there where they just fix up cars that other mechanics screwed up for no cost. I moved here so I didn’t have much of a choice but to go to a new dealer. Finally I didn’t find another “garage” to do the repairs it’s a Toyota dealer in Portland who was more than happy to take my business and told me that they would try to fix anything if possible (Berlin city Toyota) Honestly how many people have a 20 plus year old truck that’s not rusted out that want to pay you almost 200 bucks an hour for a repair?

Clementine showed me the car I was interested in and took time to make sure I understood everything I needed to know. I really liked the way she answered my questions as we sat in the front seats investigating all the details that were unfamiliar to me. She also pointed out each option on the car that were listed on the sales sheet as optional add-ons so I could decide which ones I did and didn't want. She was awesome!

I was pleased with all the attention and services given to me, from the minute I walked in the door to inquire about a particular vehicle I saw online. The salesperson, Clementine, was the sweetest person ever I met in my life when buying a car. She went all out of everything, regarding the vehicle and my comfort, and the timing of all things was perfect. She did an excellent demonstration of the vehicle which included many things that were new to me. Couldn't have asked for any better person, and the vehicle has met all my hopes and expectations. I would highly recommend this place of Lee's up in Topsham. They even arranged for an extra feature that I desired on the vehicle, which was completed today, and I will certainly enjoy that too. Brought my 2018 Camry in for an oil change, tire rotation, and 100k mile service. I also asked then to check my brakes as they definitely were worn down with some spirited driving in NH this summer. The team set great expectations for cost and schedule. I dropped the car off so the tech sent me a video via their easy to use web portal showing me that my front brakes definitely needed pads and rotors. I was able to approve the extra work remotely through the web portal after reviewing an updated cost estimate. Super convenient and very professional work and workmanship from Lee Toyota Topsham. Camry is still running strong and I'm eager to see where the next 100k miles takes me!

The 1/4 mile oil streak leading up to the burned out xD might be an indication of a problem with my service on 6/27/2025. No, I don't trust you. The car is gone, please stop sending me service emails and postcards. OK, in the driving world controlled by Big Oil and "Detroit"{and its payed off politicians] its hard for an EV driver to keep Big Brother happy. So, when the fraud excuse for state sponsored theft called "State Inspection Sticker"{ which is NOT used in most of the rest of the USA} I had to find a shop that would do the work.. Thankfully Lee Toyota is EV friendly and took on the Job. They did NOT use the pretext I have heard elsewhere{there is no cat. converters, so you fail the Inspection--} and did an honest job of the work. Save for the attempt to foist the $06.00 County 'emissions test' on me. I quick reminder to the worker that an EV has NO exhaust pipe to hook the device to--and he quit trying with the pretext, "oh your in the wrong County"> But the work was well done, the lounge useful, tho they no longer have doughnuts in the AM, and a 15 minute job only took an hour. My EV of course, passed, and off I buzzed. SO to all EV drivers, to whom this MS is directed; bring your EV-of any species, to Lee Toyota, Topsham. And tell them a Tesla sent you!

I too had a satisfactory experience buying a Rav4 Hybrid from Lee 4 years ago. This year I was upgrading to the plug-in, XSE, and Lee was my first stop. Turns out I saved significantly by driving the hour north to Waterville. Exact same vehicle and a $6,300 price difference.
