Disappointed. Took my 2017 Tacoma for service and inspection. I was told my tie rod ends needed to be replaced because he saw wear and “Toyota has a no tolerance policy.” I know this is not true. Charlie’s in Augusta changed mine in the past and took me into the garage, showed me the gage under my truck and gave me the page out of the service manual showing the tolerances. My technician at Lee was not aware and said he would like to know what they are, so I had them emailed to Lee Toyota a few minutes later. When I got to the Service Department for my paperwork, I was told my truck failed inspection because of the tie rod ends without checking for tolerances. The service man said, it was the “technician’s discretion.” We scheduled an appointment to have my truck tolerances checked, which I was told, “would take 2hrs.” This was not my experience at Charlies, it took 15 minutes. I ordered the parts just in case it does not pass. I think, Lee Toyota lied to me twice for no reason. Toyota does have tolerances for inspecting tie rod ends. If they have been replacing tie rod ends that are still good it is a waste of resources, money and bad for the environment.

Bought a 2022 Toyota Highlander limited new in April of 2022 had 34 miles on it. All service has been done and at 69000 miles the transmission failed. Come to find out it’s not just my vehicle but thousands of highlanders. The dealership knew this was an on going issue because of multiple service bulletins issued by Toyota, yet they said nothing to us when we purchased this vehicle. Now we’re stuck with a $9703 repair bill that Toyota North America is only going to help with 25%. AGAIN 69000 miles. Lee and Toyota do not stand behind their products. Do your own research before buying don’t trust that Lee has any integrity because they don’t.

Hello. I recently purchased a new truck from your dealership. I had the truck undercoated on 9/23/25. Later that day, I parked my truck, as usual, in my garage. Unfortunately, the undercoating dripped onto my garage floor in many places. I didn't realize that there was a cure time. It would have been helpful if the service person had advised me to park other than in my garage for a week after undercoating. I have a gravel driveway and this would have been optimal. Also, my 4 year old granddaughter climbed into the truck and somehow got the undercoating material on her dress, and I also got the black stuff on one of my shopping bags. This is not the end of the world. It's not Gaza. It's just avoidable -- "The undercoating will drip until it's cured, so park where that is least likely to bother you. Avoid touching the edge of the truck for a week until the undercoating cures." I appreciate the opportunity to share feedback.

I had a great experience with Evan F. He was professional, communicative and all around pleasant to work with. I did not have the same experience with Finance Manager Caleb G. Caleb had the incorrect rate from my lender and only let me know it was incorrect once everything wa signed and I was my new vehicle. I would normally consider this a small error with little consequence if not for his lack of communication afterward. Three seperate times post sale I tried to reach out to Caleb for assistance via email and never got one reply back. His lack of communication affected my experience as a whole and was a bit insulting from my perspective considering a purchase of this size. I did not feel like Caleb valued my business once he had processed my sale. I would recommend anyone to work with Evan F and I would not give the same recommendation for Caleb G.

My experience with personnel was a positive one, however my experience with the buying process was not. 1) assumptions were made that I was familiar with the buying process in Maine which was incorrect. 2) as a result of the assumption at no point was it mentioned until delivery day that the insurance change and registration was the responsibility of the consumer in Maine, 3) also as a result of that assumption at no point was the “excise tax” responsibility mentioned until I took delivery and was informed that in order to register the purchase I would have to go to my town hall and pay out another 2.4% of the purchase price. Had I had all of that information in hand for consideration at the point of sale it may have affected the outcome of that decision. I don’t believe that it was intentional due to lack of time on the job of my sales person. This should absolutely be used as a model for change moving forward and some significant gesture to make it up to me should be made. I have refrained from posting anything online to date to give Lee the benefit of the doubt, Ron Stiehl.

Good day! I purchased a Highlander Hybrid a couple of weeks ago and I want to first state that the sales consultant, Clementine, was terrific. She was extremely helpful and informative and a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, the next part of the process included meeting with Caleb in finance and we were pressured rushed into purchasing extended warranty, undercoating, etc. When I tried to contact Caleb after having time to review those contracts to get clarification on coverage and alternatives for those products, I had a very difficult time getting in touch. After at leaset 6 phone calls and a few messages left with the receptionist, I finally decided to cancel all of those contracts and have the cost removed from the principal of the loan that I used. I've mailed in the Cancellation of Coverage doc and still have had to make multiple calls to clarify the cancellation. I have yet to receive written confirmation of the cancellation. My experience led me to believe that the reception often doesn't send along messages and when I was transferred to the person with whom I wished to discuss the matter, and the phone was busy, there was no way to leave a direct message - only a loud and obnoxious musical filler. I am extremely disappointed in the overall experience at Lee Toyota, with the exception of Clementine and her very professional and helpful consultation.

(All the rest of their services are stupidly overpriced. They failed the car for suspension parts that were perfectly safe and serviceable and in conformance with the criteria in the stat inspection manual Lee wanted $1400 to replace parts that I could purchase for $200 from NAPA. That is a foolish amount of labor added to remove 6 bolts total from pieces easily accessible with the rear wheel removed. That upsell is probably fraud or at the least completely unscrupulous. I got a sticker without their required repair at a local garage for the normal fee from people who performed a fair and honest inspection. Lee Toyota is a pack of thieves and I will never again darken their door.

Because of the size of two manuals (vehicle and multimedia) I suggest that there should be additional opportunities to get an understanding of the many technological features my vehicle offers. My suggestion would be that a Lee employee be an exclusive specialist and offer set appointments for various categories of tech topics. While the initial review was as complete as it can be, trying to comprehend everything at once after picking up the vehicle proves to be difficult.

I am sending this because I received an e-mail to solicit feedback. The sales person (Steve) was GREAT- low pressure, responsive, clear communicator. The finance team was not so great- saying that things would be done and then being out of the office without handing them off, lots of inquiry into personal finance that seemed unnecessary. This extended the buying process significantly because of a title that was completed incorrectly and delays in modifying this. Unfortunately, I have already been in for service- ran over a stone or something in the road 3 days after purchasing the vehicle. The service experience has been poor- I was told by phone when I called that this would only be covered by road hazard is cord was showing. When I had the tires removed, was told that cord was showing so brought them in. Then was told by Gerry it is only cord in the tread, not in the sidewall. When I brought up the road hazard guarantee he told me I handn’t purchased the tires there (after buying a 39k car less than a week before). He said he would look into what could be done and I have called multiple times and left a message and gotten no response. I just want to get a new tire if it will be covered or buy one if it won’t and I can’t move forward.

Good Morning- FYI I did leave an extremely positive review on Google for my buying experience. However, that was before being extremely disappointed with my experience on getting the rack for my new Land Cruiser. We basically built out a 1958 Edition and added several options to get what we wanted. We upgraded tires, added step rails, converted the cloth interior to leather. The crowning piece was adding the roof rack that comes on the Limited Edition Land Cruiser. We were told a week, then two to three weeks now end of September. This is 100% unacceptable. I purchased the tires separately but rolled all other options into the vehicle. If I had any idea that the rack would take MONTHS to receive, I would have waited to purchase it when it came in. I certainly would not have agreed to make interest payments on an item that I don’t even have and your parts department can’t tell me when I will have it at this point. The first time I was told that there was a waiting list of over 480 racks that was about three weeks ago. Last week that number has not changed. I do understand supply chain issues. You guys sold me the vehicle promising no more than a couple of weeks. My main issue is making interest payments on an item I don’t even have! Not good! Not okay…. Been doing business with you guys since 2017 and still have my Tacoma I bought there. I need my rack AND some sort of compensation for not having a very expensive component on my vehicle that I am making interest payments on. I also should be prioritized on getting the first one to hit our shores due to this fact. Again if I knew I would need to wait this long I would have waited to purchase and not rolled in to the financing. I am VERY FRUSTRATED and UNHAPPY that I was lead to believe I would have this option “in a couple weeks at the most”
