    I have bought two cars from Gilman and my daughter has bought one. They are professional and fun and have helped me and my family for a decade. Can’t beat team Gilman North here in Houston!!!

    Great experience today from the moment we arrived at the dealership all the way through the purchase. Don did an amazing job matching our wants to the exact car. We test drove his recommendation and it was a perfect! The dealership setting is also super nice. The whole Gilman team is great! If you need a car go see Don and the team. I give them a 10 out of 10!

    I'm giving 3 stars on this review because of Angelique, the business manager. She is super personable, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She had my financing and all of my paperwork wrapped up in no time. She also was able to give me a good rate on my loan. The dealership is nice, clean, quiet and uncrowded.I bought a low mileage, Subaru certified vehicle that I'm overall very happy with. The purchase process was painful however.If you like to haggle, this is the dealership for you. I don't. Add $1000 ($995) to the price of any vehicle that you're looking at online. I was told it's a dealer "add on" added to all vehicles. When my vehicle was shown to me it was obvious that the previous owner had brushed against something with the passenger side of the vehicle. The side mirror was scratched. There were minor but noticeable scratches from the hood, along the side of the vehicle all the way to the back of the car. Maybe it's just me, but I would think that's something that would be taken care of prior to showing. Also that it would be clean inside and out. It wasn't.I had my mechanic (also a car dealer) check it out before buying. He found several dents that I had not noticed previously. He told me what a fair offer for the car was that included removal of the $995 fee, detailing inside and out, dent and scratch repair.The offer was presented to my salesperson as a "this is it" offer. The multiple trips back and forth of the salesperson to managers office began as did repeated counter offers. The last trip was of the sales manager to meet me. More negotiations. My offer was eventually accepted. The manager was visibly angry.I later got the call that my vehicle was ready and to come to pick it up. It wasn't ready. After waiting about an hour and a half, when the car was ready the only thing I was interested in was getting get out of there. It was late afternoon and rush hour. The scratches and dents appeared to have been taken care of.However, I later found a dent that had been missed and more minor scratches. The interior had not been cleaned, much less detailed. I'll take care of the remaining issues myself. I have no intention of returning to the dealership. I'm headed to Autozone today for supplies...
