I had a really disappointing experience with Subaru dealership Service Department. I went in for a simple tire patch and oil change, but things went downhill fast. They told me they couldn't patch my tire because the tread was 1/32, but when I took my car to Goodyear for a second opinion, they said it was actually 2/32. Subaru claims they don't patch tires under 2/32, which left me feeling like they were exaggerating the issue to push me into buying new tires from them.On top of that, I was shocked by the bill. I ended up paying over $215 for an oil change and engine air filter! They charged me $69 for the oil change, $69 for labor on the oil change, $23 for the filter, and another $35 for labor just to install the filter. Normally, replacing the filter is part of the oil change labor cost, so I felt like I was being overcharged.To make matters worse, I waited over 3.5 hours, and when I finally asked if my car was ready, they casually mentioned that it had been ready, and I had been sitting there unnecessarily. The lack of communication and excessive charges were incredibly frustrating. I won’t be returning to this service department.
